WORLD AIDS DAY
In celebration of World Aids Day 2022, EIA partnered with Jinja City and the University of Southern California to host a large community outreach event featuring youth talent, including dance groups, musicians, poets, and more, along with HIV testing and prevention and treatment education.
WORLD DROWNING PREVENTION DAY
To commemorate World Drowning Prevention Day, EIA partners with the Ugandan Ministry of Water and the Environment, Ministry of Health, Swim Safe Uganda, the Uganda Swimming Federation, the Ugandan Scouts, and the University of Southern California to host an event with key stakeholders to raise awareness and promote drowning prevention initiatives.
WORLD MALARIA DAY
EIA has partnered with the US Peace Corps and Children’s Chance International to commemorate World Malaria Day in 2021 and 2022. Together, over 5,000 insecticide treated bed nets were distributed to households with pregnant women and small children, along with community education about malaria prevention.
